1. Effective date and last updated
This Privacy Policy is effective from 27 September 2026 and was last updated on 27 September 2026.
This Privacy Policy applies to Versionz Corporation Private Limited, the Versionz website, and MigrateIQ and related services offered by Versionz.
2. Who we are
Versionz Corporation Private Limited ("Versionz", "we", "us", or "our") provides MigrateIQ and related services.
We are committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of our customers, users, and website visitors.
For questions about this Privacy Policy or our privacy practices, please contact us at:
3. Information we collect
We collect and process only the information reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, support, secure, and improve our services.
Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:
- Account and contact information
- Information required to provide our services
- Information processed in connection with customer use of our services
- Usage and technical information
- Communications and support requests
- Information collected through cookies and similar technologies
We aim to collect only the information necessary for the relevant purpose.
4. How we use information
We may use information for purposes including:
- Providing and operating our services
- Managing customer accounts and relationships
- Providing customer support
- Maintaining the security and reliability of our services
- Improving our products and services
- Responding to enquiries and requests
- Communicating important service-related information
- Meeting applicable legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell personal information or use customer information for unrelated advertising purposes.
5. Migrated data and uploaded files
MigrateIQ exists to move data between systems that belong to you. The data being migrated is yours, and it is processed only to carry out the migrations you start.
Depending on what you choose to migrate, this may include:
- Data read from a source environment and company you have registered
- Files you upload, including their contents, column names, and sample rows shown in the preview
- The mappings, default values, and loading order you define or accept
- Records written to the target environment and company you have selected
- Migration results, including counts of records created, updated, and rejected, and the messages returned by the destination system
Where the data you migrate contains personal information, that information is processed as part of carrying out your migration. Versionz acts on your instructions in doing so, and does not use migrated data for any purpose unrelated to providing the service.
You decide what is migrated, from where, and to where. We recommend migrating only the data your project actually requires, and avoiding live personal data in non-production environments where suitable alternatives exist.
6. Customer data and environments
Customers remain responsible for the information within their own systems and environments, and for deciding which environments, companies, and files are made available to MigrateIQ.
Versionz processes customer information only as necessary to provide and support the services requested by the customer and in accordance with applicable agreements and instructions.
Data moves between the environments and services you have registered and authorised. Only environments you have registered can be used as a source or a target.
We do not use customer business information for purposes unrelated to providing our services.
7. Service providers
We may work with trusted third-party service providers to help us operate and support our business and services.
These providers may assist with areas such as:
- Cloud and technology infrastructure
- Website functionality
- Communications
- Analytics
- Customer support and other business operations
We take reasonable steps to ensure that service providers handling personal information are subject to appropriate confidentiality and data protection obligations.
8. Data retention
We retain personal and customer information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
- Provide our services
- Meet legitimate business requirements
- Comply with applicable legal obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce agreements
Uploaded files and the working data of a migration are retained only for as long as needed to carry out and report on that migration, and in line with our applicable retention practices. Migration records such as request numbers, status, and result counts may be retained longer so that past migrations can still be referred to.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or securely dispose of it in accordance with our applicable retention practices.
9. How we protect information
We use appropriate technical, organisational, and administrative measures designed to protect the information we process.
These measures are intended to help protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
Access to the environments you register is limited to what is needed to carry out the migrations you start.
However, no method of transmitting or storing information is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International data transfers
Versionz may process information in locations where we, our customers, or our service providers operate.
Where applicable, we take reasonable measures to ensure that international transfers of personal information are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
These rights may include the right to:
- Request access to your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of personal information in certain circumstances
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Object to or restrict certain types of processing
- Exercise other rights available under applicable data protection laws
Where personal information reaches us only because it was present in data a customer chose to migrate, requests relating to that information are normally directed to the customer, who decides what is held in their own systems. We will assist our customers in responding to such requests where it is reasonable to do so.
